Carlo Crighton

CEO and Shareholder

Carlo joined Aqua-Nu as CEO in January 2012. His career to date is in plc board directorships, senior management positions in multinational sales and marketing, branding and communications, as well as entrepreneurial experience in early stage and start-up companies. Most recently Carlo founded EvenOne, a distribution/wholesaling business in both the natural health & beauty, and outdoor sectors, which included a retailing subsidiary, Breathe Health Store. Prior to this, he held the position of International Director – Technology with Edelman Worldwide, headquartered out of London and New York. Client work included Orange and Microsoft global communications, marketing/PR, as well as corporate and product positioning strategy work. Carlo previously held a plc board directorship up to 2001 with Next Fifteen Communications Group plc, an AIM-listed worldwide group of consultancies with 900 staff across 48 offices. He directed the company’s European, Middle East and African network of offices.

Patrick Farrelly

Director of Science, Inventor, and Majority Shareholder

Patrick is the inventor of the ceramic filter who had the vision, invented the filtration technology and created the concept of the PURITYCAP® and ancillary products. He previously worked in the Irish Public Service for 14 years, until his early retirement. Patrick set up Aqua-Nu Filtration Systems Limited in 2004. Patrick has become an expert in water filtration and purification technologies and has immersed himself into the development of ceramics and water filtration.

Philip Newell

Director- Production and Product Development, Company Secretary & Shareholder

Philip has more than 15 year’s experience as a Director running his own very successful company. Philip’s key skills are dealing with people at all levels, with the energy, driving force and enthusiasm to bring a concept and vision to fruition whatever challenges, hurdles or difficulties appear. Philip was responsible for successfully launching a US Direct Sales company onto the Irish market and served on the executive advisory board for four years in the UK and Ireland.

Liam Lawlor – MA (TCD)

Business Development and Sales Director & Shareholder

Liam Lawlor is a sales and marketing executive with a wide range of experience in the development and the promotion of existing and new ventures. Liam is a business post graduate of Trinity College Dublin with 30 year’s experience in the areas of management, marketing and sales, tax consultancy (K.P.M.G.) and teaching. Liam is a fellow of the Life Assurance Association of Ireland and has established and managed a successful financial services business for 15 years.

Robert Verkerk – BSc (Hons) MSc DIC PhD

Shareholder and provides services to Aqua-Nu

Dr Robert Verkerk is an internationally acclaimed expert in agricultural, environmental and health sustainability, environmental toxicology, nutritional science and risk assessment. During the course of his work over the last 24 years, he has focused on a diverse array of issues ranging from environmental protection, to reducing pesticide and synthetic chemical inputs in homes and in agriculture, to the development of new methodologies for the assessment of natural product safety through to sustainable healthcare systems. Dr Verkerk has authored over 60 original articles in peer-reviewed journals, scientific symposia and special interest magazines, as well as several books. Two books relevant to the NOSG project include “The A-Z of Chemicals in the Home” (Total Environment Centre, Sydney, Australia, 1986) and “The Human Time Bomb” (Wellness Publishing, 2005). Dr Robert Verkerk, and his team from ANH Consultancy Limited, were appointed in early 2005, to oversee Science, Research and Development.
